  Cave Dweller Music is all about community; namely the community of music. Helping to keep the vitality and growth of the underground scene in promoting new, unique and interesting artists in addition to hosting various other blogs and articles from around the world with our republication partnerships. It is with this sense of community that we find ourselves engaging in charitable events that are an extension of our own personal experiences and values, such as our yearly Mind Over Metal samplers. These samplers act as a cohesive force in the overlap of our love and community of music and our desire to build/strengthen the community we have cultivated in our personal lives, in addition to the community we still yet hope to build. As a result of this hope we have created, with the help of many artists, our first ever Dungeon Synth sampler, Battle Hymns: Triumphs in Transitions, with all proceeds made during the month of August going to The National Center for Transgender Equality.
  
  The National Center for Transgender Equality is a multifunctional organization whose chief aim is to promote equity of transgendered individuals through legislative policy change and support of both families of transgendered individuals and transgendered individuals themselves. To this end, they have multiple projects that contribute towards achieving equality including, Racial and Economic Justice Initiative (REJI), Trans Legal Services Network (TLSN), Voices for Trans Equality (VTE), Families for Trans Equality (FTE). Additionally, this organization also publishes free-to-use content for individuals attempting to navigate through the world in particular situations. They offer Self-Help Guides covering issues such as obtaining ID and documents, and providing a Transgender Legal Services Network, while also publishing a Know Your Rights Guide that enumerates various obstacles that trans people face daily, such as employment, healthcare, and public accommodations with detailed explanations and resources to aid an individual in either circumnavigating those issues, or how to handle them.
  
  Transgender rights are at an ever increasing risk, with a myriad of local and federal bills being introduced that seriously impede a transgendered person's ability to peaceably live their life, or take an active role in their community without fear of reprisal and contribute to vilification for merely existing. Bills such as US HB985- Productivity Over Pronouns Act, US SB200- PROTECT Kids Act Parental Rights Over the Education and Care of Their Kids Act, US HB 1399- Protect Children’s Innocence Act and US SB435- Ensuring Military Readiness Act of 2023. We believe that it is of an equally increasing importance to join alongside our transgendered brothers, sisters and nonbinary kin in any way available to us; to make it known that Transgender rights are human rights. These are our Battle Hymns.
  
  
  
  We cannot thank the Dungeon Synth community enough for their immediate and overwhelming response when we initially put out the call for submissions. Some created entirely new tracks specifically for this release, others gave previously unreleased tracks, but all entrusted in us their own hard work and talent, for that, there is never enough thanks. A special thank you to Samantha Rothers, who donated her time and talents to us. An additional special thanks goes out to Haley Kobes, who has displayed an infinite amount of patience while this whole project took shape.
