We once again gathered our tribe together here at Cave Dweller Music and brought in some new members for Mind Over Metal 3: the third (and by far largest) in a series of annual samplers with the intent to raise as much funds as possible and continue spreading awareness during Mental Health Month. All proceeds from the sale of the sampler from the 5th of May until June 2nd will go directly to two charities: Mental Health Europe and National Alliance on Mental Illness.

Never do things in small doses they say, so in that spirit this sampler is split into two volumes due to the ABSOLUTELY massive response we got from all bands involved, with 70 artists/bands featured in total. There are many familiar faces on the collection for anyone who has been following Cave Dweller Music. These artists have been kind enough to provide us with songs from their most recent albums, standalone singles previously unreleased singles and re-issued bonus tracks. Honestly, there is more outstanding music than we know what to do with. In fact we had 118 submissions for this year's edition but simply couldn't include it all. Thank you all that applied who didn't make this year's cut.

James Sweetlove of CDM states, “Whether it be our own battles with mental health or those of our friends and family, it’s an issue that affects most people in some way. The last two years we put this sampler together we were blown away by the response, raising over $500USD each year before taxes and fees and this year we're hoping to raise even more. We believe wholeheartedly in this cause and any funds or awareness we manage to drum up through this sampler we see as a major win. So, please pick up one or both volumes today and if you can pick up a limited edition shirt to match. Make sure to also share this with your friends and family, or anyone who loves and supports underground music or cares about mental health."

This year to celebrate the third year of MOM we are also taking pre-orders for a limited run of MOM 3 shirts, featuring artwork from Tommy Wilson Design who has worked with numerous artists including Infest..

You can pick up each volume for $10 or get both volumes, as well as last year's volumes for $15 by purchasing our digital discography. That's 219 songs for $15 and all for an amazing cause. You can also pick up a shirt PLUS both volumes for $35.

Merci Déhà for the download code. Lots of bands use these ingredients – pretty female vocals over doomy guitars always sounds good, but usually that's where the ideas run out. That isn't the case here. Each song is packed with ideas and evolutions, genres and references it's boring to list but not at all to listen to. A pleasure to have been introduced to this. Luke
